WHAT IS KAMBO?
Kambo “vacina da floresta” , also referred to as Sapo and Dow-kiet is a secretion from a large green tree frog known as the Giant Green Monkey Tree Frog. Its scientific name is Phyllomedusa Bicolor, meaning leaf guardian. Kambo comes from the rainforest of the upper Amazon and has no natural predators except the potential destruction of its habitat. Indigenous of the Amazon have been using Kambo for centuries to cure and prevent disease and infection, cleanse, strengthen and energize their bodies and minds as well as to clear away negative energy known as “Panema”. Kambo is also referred to as “Hunting Magic” because belief has it, that hunters would become invisible to their prey and the Kambo would take away the human scent for a period of time.
